Mariah Carey's "Angels Advocate" Shelved

Mariah Daily exclusively confirms via Mariah’s management that her ‘Angels Advocate’ album will not be released. Instead, they are currently working on releasing some singles off the project, simply stating that the album “won’t go to waste”.

In an even more shocking twist, the singer and her team are putting focus into the next studio album under effective creative and financial measures: “We are looking to go possibly to another studio album or Christmas album. The decision hasn’t been totally made yet. It’s a creative process that cannot be rushed”.

There is two words to describe this situation right now: A hot mess! Mariah’s career is currently at an all time low and she’s risking ruining her legacy even further. ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’ is the worst selling album of her career after recently JUST being certified Gold in so many months. To top it off, the remixed version of the project – ‘Angels Advocate’ – has been shelved. She has also failed to fill 3000-seat arena’s at her recent ‘Angels Advocate’ tour, and now they are disastrously considering putting out another project.

I personally think Mariah should just save face and go away for the next 2-3 years, enjoy her marriage, have some kids, and then come back with a killer album. I do believe that she can enjoy yet another ‘Emancipation’ era but she just needs to take time out and seriously re-evaluate herself as an artist. ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’ was not a bad album. She had some nice beats but the lyrics were dumbed down and had The Dream’s input stamped all over it. Too much of it in fact.

There are moments where I’d think ‘classic’ Mariah would not write this and you could tell she desperately wanted to appeal to the younger audience. When you try to service your music under ‘fast food’ methods, a re-evaluation is most certainly called for. Back to the drawing board for Miz Mimi.
